In recently unsealed rulings from March, a federal judge held that it lacked jurisdiction over the firm’s clients, producers of the docu-series “The Last Narc,” exhibited by defendant Amazon, despite the fact that plaintiff lived in Texas, because the program did not involve events in Texas and defendants did not rely on sources in Texas. Rather than dismissing the case, the court granted the defendants’ alternative motion to transfer the case to the Central District of California in the “interests of justice.”  Read the order here.
